About
Engineering from Africa. Building for everywhere.
TrixForge is an engineering company based in Abuja. We build software, systems and infrastructure for businesses that have outgrown spreadsheets and want something that holds.
The premise
Constraints are a curriculum.
Software built here has to survive conditions software built elsewhere can assume away. Connectivity drops mid-transaction. Payment rails differ per provider and per bank. Power is a variable, not a constant.
Engineering under those conditions produces habits that travel well — offline-tolerant capture, idempotent writes, aggressive retry semantics, interfaces that degrade rather than fail. These are the properties that make any system reliable. They are simply not optional here.
That is why we build from this continent for a global market. The constraints are the reason the systems hold.
How we work
Four things we insist on.
Understand before you build
The requirement you were given is rarely the problem you were hired to solve. We spend the first weeks with the people doing the work.
Correct beats clever
Especially where money, records or regulation are involved. We choose the boring technology unless novelty demonstrably buys something.
Write the architecture down
Including the options we rejected. Six months later that document answers 'why is it like this?' without needing the original author.
Hand it over properly
Your team should be able to extend the system without us. Lock-in is a business model, not an engineering outcome.
The studio
A small team, deliberately.
Engineers, designers and strategists who stay on a project long enough to be accountable for how it turns out.

Chapter 10 — Culture
We are engineers, designers, strategists and problem solvers.
Curiosity
We ask why the process exists before we automate it.
Precision
Correct beats clever. Especially where money is involved.
Ownership
We carry the problem until it is genuinely solved.
Speed
Small releases, often. Momentum is a design goal.
Impact
Software that nobody uses is a cost, not an asset.
Chapter 09 — Proof
Technology is only valuable when it creates impact.
We measure what a system changed — cycle time, error rate, the number of people no longer copying data between spreadsheets.

They spent the first two weeks understanding how we actually work before writing a line of code. That decision is the reason the system was adopted.
Client to be confirmed
The architecture was written down, reviewed with our engineers and handed over. We were never locked out of our own platform.

Month-end used to take a week of manual assembly. Now the numbers are already there when we open the dashboard.
